What the app does
Video Compressor: Metras finds the videos and photos that use the most space on your iPhone and makes smaller copies of them, on the device. You compare before and after, keep what you like, and your originals stay untouched until you decide otherwise. Nothing is uploaded.

What are the 3 free tries?
The free version lets you try the app 3 times with your own videos and photos, so you can see the result before you buy. After that, Pro unlocks unlimited use.
What is Pro, and how do I restore it?
Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. To restore it on a new device, open the app, go to the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases, using the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If it does not work, write to us.
Does Pro work with Family Sharing?
Yes. Members of your Apple Family Sharing group can use Pro on their own devices without buying it again. Family Sharing must be turned on for your family group, and each member must be signed in with their own Apple Account.
Where are the smaller copies saved?
In your Photos library as new items, or wherever you choose when you share them. Your originals stay where they are.
How do I delete the originals safely?
Open the compressed copy first and play it through, to be sure it looks the way you want. Only then delete the original, in the app or in Photos. Photos keeps deleted items in Recently Deleted for 30 days, so you can still get one back in that time.
Does it work in the background?
On iOS 26 and later, a compression can continue while you use other apps, and the app tells you with a notification when it is done. On earlier versions of iOS, keep the app open until it is done.
Are my videos and photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Compression happens on your iPhone. The app has no account and no tracking. Read the Privacy Policy.
